These terms apply when you access or play Detours & Deeds. By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Beta service
Detours & Deeds is a beta product. Features, rules, maps, saved data and availability may change, contain errors or be discontinued. We may perform maintenance or suspend parts of the service without notice when reasonably necessary.
Who may use the service
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. If local law requires parental consent, a parent or guardian must approve your use. You are responsible for activity through your account, guest session and private game invitations.
Accounts and guest access
Some modes may be available to guests. An unlinked guest account can be lost if you clear browser data, change devices or lose the session. Keep account details secure and give private invitations only to people you intend to invite. Do not impersonate another person or use misleading account information.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- harass other players or upload unlawful, abusive or infringing names or avatars;
- cheat, automate play, exploit bugs or interfere with another player’s game;
- probe, bypass or disrupt authentication, bot protection or service security;
- scrape, overload, reverse engineer or misuse the service except where law permits;
- use the service for commercial gambling or any unlawful purpose.
We may remove content, restrict rooms or suspend access when needed to protect players and the service.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit, such as a player name or avatar. You give us a limited, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service. You must have the right to submit it.
Game content and virtual credits
The game, design, code, artwork and other service content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, limited, revocable and non-transferable right to use the service for entertainment. Folio credits, businesses, prices and investments are fictional game elements. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed or transferred outside the game and are not financial products or advice.
Third-party services
The service relies on third parties including Cloudflare, Supabase and Google. Their terms may also apply to their services. Links or place information do not imply endorsement, and real city names do not make the fictional businesses real.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the beta is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We are not responsible for lost guest sessions, lost progress or indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms as the service develops. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach, security risk or legal requirement.
